Two Words on this little upgrade.. HOLY HELL!!!
After hesitantly opening up a perfectly good running carb, in the rain, I installed the dual squirter, and cleaned the bowl, set the floats with the weber float tool, and changed out the inlet filter.. Which was crushed and packed full of rusty silt..
..it was on to the linkage. I had to lift and disconnect the carb from the pedal linkage. Beyond that, it was a snap!
So let me just say, this is a great way to spend forty bucks and two hours! I was caught by surprise and felt like I was on a motorcycle in the rain!! I was afraid to punch it in the turns! I'll admit there is some adjusting to do, maybe rejetting or air correction, but holy smokes!! If you just keep the RPM's up, or maybe adjust the shift points the thing screams down low! It doesn't really like the initial burst from the accelerator pump under my old driving habits, but once it's gets itself composed... it screams!! Man what a difference!
This alone will justify finally installing the LSD!
